The Happy Hour Facial Bar

The Happy Hour Facial Bar

by Susan Neuhalfen

Mod Facial Bar owner and Lantana resident Sandy Nelles came up with the concept for her new business through her years as an esthetician, working on clients in quiet, dark rooms.

I got depressed being in a dark room all day with no conversation,” said Sandy. “I wanted to create something that was fun and open where clients would feel comfortable but still pampered.”

The Mod Facial Bar is an open concept facial spa. Chairs are separated by a single tied-back curtain, allowing parties and friends to more readily socialize. In addition to custom facials, they offer everything from microdermabrasion to medical grade peels and acne treatments.

At the center of this idea is that great skin care doesn’t have to take half the day or half of your paycheck. Mod Facial Bar provides effective and affordable skin care for busy people on the go. There are monthly packages available to suit any skin type. The estheticians will analyze your skin and help decide which package bests suits your skin type.

“You spend money getting your nails done every week, why not spend less and get a facial every month,” said Sandy’s husband Scott, a Texas Army National Guard veteran who completed two tours in Iraq. “People don’t always look at your hands. They always look at your face and we can make you look years younger.”

They also incorporate technology making the Mod Facial Bar concept a combination med spa and relaxation spa. There are machines that perform the hydra-refining facial, LED lights that heal cells and an oxygen machine for a “Red Carpet Facial”. Most incredibly is the non-surgical face lift, using microcurrent to lift and retrain the muscles in the face.

“You’ll see results immediately, but it’s even better to use it over a series of treatments,” said Sandy. “We are all about results.”
