Outdoor Learning Area Ribbon Cutting

On April 23, 2019, as part of its observance of Earth Day, Independence Elementary School celebrated its new Outdoor Learning Area with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The event was hosted by Mrs. Teddie Winslow who is the school principal, and included the following:

The Outdoor Learning Area, located on the southwest corner of the campus near the school’s gardens; made possible by funding from the Castle Hills Education Foundation. Designed and built by Green Meadows Landscaping, the arbor area is envisioned as an outdoor classroom that the faculty/teachers can use.
