Still The Wright Choice

Still The Wright Choice

Award-winning Wright Firm covers all your legal needs.

Patrick and Paul Wright knew they had something special brewing when they joined forces 15 years ago at The Wright Firm LLP. After all, both brothers – who happen to be twins – were, independently, already rising stars in the legal world. Combining forces allowed them to take care of more clients under one roof.

All these years later, the Wrights continue to outshine competitors while consistently earning recognition both locally and nationally for their wide swath of unrivaled legal counsel and support. Still, they insist they’ve barely scratched the surface.

“To us, this is the floor,” Patrick said. “We have higher expectations for us
and everyone here.”

The Wright brothers shied away from tooting their own horn in a recent interview with Life in Castle Hills, so we’ve decided to do that for them. Because, well, the awards truly are impressive. The Wright Firm LLP, which has three offices in Lewisville, Frisco, and Dallas as well as a fourth one on the way for Denton, has earned a laundry list of awards and accolades that make it one of the top law firms in the United States. This includes top ranking from entities such as Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers of America, Trial Masters, Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates, America’s Most Honored Professionals, and The National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Lawyers.

And that’s just for starters. Where the Wrights truly earn their keep is in the relationships and trust they have built locally. The Wright Firm LLP is a regular Best of Denton County winner, and in 2017 was voted by residents as the area’s Best Law Firm. On top of that, Patrick was voted Best Divorce Lawyer.
Rather than focus on two or three practice areas, the Wrights cover everything from family law such as divorce and child-custody matters to criminal defense, tax law, bankruptcy, estate planning, mediation, personal injury, and probate. In each instance, they listen, then take appropriate action.

And because Paul is also a CPA, they do a fair amount of small business and succession planning.

The brothers and their firm find a real sense of pride in communicating with their clients effectively.

“From a practice standpoint, we do a lot. And it feels good to know we have developed those relationships with the community” Patrick said. “To me, that shows stability, credibility, and that we are a community partner they can trust. It shows we are a vibrant and thriving business that will treat you right. We aren’t some lawyer you will meet at a Starbucks.

“Receiving all these designations and awards shows that we are giving our clients a good experience. We’re moving in the right direction, that’s for sure.”

Patrick said another key point to consider is ease of access. They are always looking for ways to create convenience for all their clients and fellow attorneys, hence their multiple office locations. Denton, in particular, was a nice addition for that very reason.

“We needed a location for some of our northerly clients who were having to go to court in Denton,” Patrick said. “This gives us a chance to service them and meet them wherever they are. From a business standpoint, we also have clients all over and can make meeting with them for mediation purposes more convenient.”

Bottom line: the rankings and awards are always nice to receive – and they are proof that The Wright Firm LLP is a step above its competition. But the Wrights are results-driven and know clients need attorneys and staff who understand that every case is about people. And because they are doing it together, they can achieve more than they would separately.

“We have a knack for preparation, thoroughness, communication, and hard work. We pride ourselves on being transparent with our clients, helping them understand and heal over a period of time, rather than just focus on the immediate problems or apply Band-Aid fixes,” Patrick said. “The work we do affects peoples’ lives: and, not just on a short-term basis. Our work sets the tone for the next 15, 20, 30 years. We keep that in the forefront of our minds with each step our clients take with us.”
